Valentine diagonally divided into two sections. The top left side depicts a young women sitting on a fence looking at two doves in a tree; she is holding a bunch of cut flowers on her lap. The bottom right side depicts pink and yellow roses on a gold background. A large circle taking up most of the bottom half of the right side, and slightly overlapping to the left, includes the verse, which reads: In the pleasant spring time,/Through the leafy groves to wander,/Brings a world of wondrous fancies/Which the soul of youth will ponder./Lo, the doves for wedded life preparing!/Each, content, the other's fortune sharing./Seems it not as if, my darling,/Love were a provision ample?/And our best plan were to follow/Birdie's/bright example?
