This hanging valentine, which may also be called a drop valentine, consists of two sections, held together by pink ribbon. The top section depicts a young man and a young woman dressed in 19th century British garments, complete with white wigs. The man is holding a quill pen and a piece of stationary; the woman is holding a bottle of ink and a small bouquet of white flowers. This section is decorated on the top, and two sides with sprigs of pink flowers. The bottom section includes a banner with the title of the card, under which are two, overlapping hearts, with sprigs of pink roses.
